Staff data stays on your device
Everything you enter into the tools — staff labels, start dates, hours, earnings, contract types, sickness absences and checklist ticks — is processed in your browser and saved in its local storage under the key
wallchart:v1. It is never sent to our servers. Use initials or payroll numbers rather than names; the tool never asks for names, dates of birth or the reason for an absence.
Anyone who can use this browser profile can see that data, so use a work device you control. The Backup tab downloads a copy as a file and can clear everything; clearing your browser’s site data also deletes it. Backup files and calendar (.ics) exports contain your staff dates — keep them somewhere private.
As the employer you remain the data controller for your staff data, wherever you keep it.
What we store
- Beta list. If you join it, we store your email address, the option you picked and the page you joined from, to email you about this tool. Nothing else, and we never sell or share it.
- Anonymous usage counts. When you use a feature we record the event name, coarse counts (for example “1–9 rows imported”), the page and your country (from the network). No cookies, no identifiers, no IP addresses, nothing you typed.

Your rights
To see or delete your beta-list entry, use the unsubscribe link in any email or reply to it, and we will delete it within 30 days.
